Happy Belated Father's Day
Above is me and my Dad. I've been painting in my new house and didn't have internet access to post this yesterday (I did call him though). He is a HUGE part of my life. I call him EVERY time I don't know what to do and he always has the answer. Even though he says I just love him for shocks and brakes it's also for oil changes ;) (my dad own's his own repair shop). Not only does he give great advice he also helps me craft (cuts my crochet hooks, builds me a lightbox, helps with displays). Here is to all the Dad's in this world- we love you!

NEW HOUSE
My husband and I are closing on our first house tomorrow. So much stress but it is almost done. Check one more thing off of my 09 Resolutions list :) My crafting has suffered a bit because of it (It kills me to put some of my toys in boxes - but I'm staying strong). I'll have a craft room in the new house so it keeps me going!

BACON!
Now that I have your attention- do you need a quick appetizer that's cheap too?
Bacon wrapped pineapple to the rescue!
Canned Chunked Pineapple
Package of Bacon
Sweet and Sour Sauce
and or Sweet and Sour Duck Sauce
Toothpicks
Disposable pan (optional but when you are cleaning up you will thank me!)
Cut the bacon strips into 3 or 4 pieces (I do it as I go)
Wrap them around a chunk of pineapple
Stick a toothpick through it and put it in your pan
Keep going till you run out of pineapple and or bacon
Pour Sweet and Sour Sauce or a combo of sweet and sour and sweet and sour duck sauce over the top.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
Broil for approx 10 (keep an eye on them you don't want them to burn)
When the bacon is crispy on top you are done! (the toothpicks will blacken a bit- there is nothing you can do to stop it, just go with it).
ENJOY! You are now the hero of the party for bringing these :)
