Ritz- More than just Cheese and Crackers

Everyone has had ritz crackers, yummy buttery just plain good. Normally we break these out at parties for cheese platters and cherry cheese balls but with fish? The other day at lunch a conversation started and somehow ended up on breadcrumbs (exciting I know), a woman said her sister was a caterer and only uses ritz crackers not bread crumbs. Everything covered in Ritz crackers???!!! My interest had been peaked. So, I tried it on some frozen white fish I had. Just dipped it in egg seasoned some crushed crackers and voila! Excellent results. (I also have tried them crumbled up on mac n cheese- just as tasty)
Go ahead try it- let me know how it turns out.

Just Relax!

Easier said then done.
I've always been wound tightly :) I worry about EVERYTHING! It's just a quirk good and bad at the same time. The more I crochet the more I find myself bringing it everywhere with me. People at work teased my friend and I for picking up our hooks during our lunch break but it really felt like I was breaking from the day. And finally my body is in sync with the science!
This article in Everyday Health goes over some relaxation techniques, crochet included!
So crochet and knit proudly in public! Join me as a hooker on the go and hopefully find 5 minutes of zen in your day with it!

Pay it Forward

"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." Dalai Lama

PIFs or Pay it Forwards on Etsy are free listings if you pay the 20 cent listing fee and the shipping. In return, you "pay it forward" and list something for free or do a kindness for a stranger.

In the spirit of giving, I've started a section in my shop with a few gems for the taking!

Embroidery for Babies

This was a custom order I just did for a volleyball player to give to a team mate who is expecting. I just love how it turned out :)

Hopefully the volleyball will be right over the baby's tummy. What do you think?

High Tech or Old Fashion?

I'm at a cross road- my house has a turn table and iPod, notebooks and palm, VHS player and DVD, but is there room for a kindle and my beloved books?
I LOVE TO READ! I devour books at a speed that slightly startles the hubby and we have book cases over flowing with ones I love(d).
My father in law has a kindle and my mother in law (a librarian) put her stamp of approval on it. But there is something about paper, the smell of the pages, the weight, flying through a book without cracking the spine.... can I switch?

Will this turn into my palm which is essentially a glorified address book for me or will it be like my iPod- indispensible to my daily life?
Anyone out there have a kindle or a tech delima?

Sparkles

May I introduce my newest cuties:

It's hard to find hair do dads for special events or just when you want to feel special. So, when a customer of mine asked me to come up with something for her I made some for her and listed a few others! What do you think?
